David Nadler

David Nadler is a native of Chicago and grew up in the northern suburbs.  He has extensive knowledge of Chicago and the North Shore markets.  

David started his real estate career on the commercial side in Chicago in 1996 with the Koll Company (formerly Rubloff and today CB Richard Ellis). He then moved to New York City in 1997 for about 8 years.  Working in commercial brokerage in New York he had the opportunity to rent stores and offices to several Food Network TV personalities (Chefs Scott Conant and Marco Canora, Morrell Wine), the Gotham Comedy Club and numerous other area businesses. He was also written up in the New York Post on several occasions for leases of note.  This opportunity fine tuned his understanding of brokerage and how to best help clients achieve results.  

The concept of building City Ranch evolved from being a renter/tenant in both Chicago and New York for 10+ years.  All too familiar with the process of searching for apartments and using knowledge and contacts from the commercial side, David became adept in seeking out owners and learning about their rental portfolios. Frustrated by the process when compared to the commercial side, David knew there was a better way.  

Upon returning to Chicago, David immediately became a landlord, purchasing an apartment building in Lincoln Park.  Taking time and care to ensure the tenants were always happy and the apartments maintained he grew to learn exactly what it means to lease a home from both the landlord and the tenant's perspective.  Shortly thereafter, David founded City Ranch with the intent of providing clients with the same level of expert service, style and savvy as one would find in commercial real estate. This ethos has allowed City Ranch to quickly establish itself in the luxury-level leasing sector.  City Ranch is both a manager, owner and broker of rental homes in Chicago.  

David Nadler is the Managing Broker, founder and owner of City Ranch Real Estate. David's wife is an advertising executive. They live in Lincoln Park with their daughter.


Daryl Nelson

Daryl has been involved with buying, selling, renting and managing real estate since high school. He grew up in a family-owned brokerage firm and, as a managing Realtor, he has personally overseen approximately $165,000,000 in real estate transactions over the course of his career in sunny Atlanta, GA. Additionally, he has five years of experience as a licensed mortgage broker.

In 2010, the Nelson family relocated to Chicago and Daryl took on a new market. Since starting with City Ranch, he has leased 100+ homes and apartments, ranging from studios to luxury single-family homes.

As an added benefit, Daryl also brings his expertise in Information Technology to the City Ranch team. He has designed and developed numerous websites and custom promotional materials for our clients and is able to prepare a fully customized digital and print marketing program for your home.

Daryl, his wife and their two children live on Chicago's North Side.


Phillip Fowler
